Teachers and Counselors
The College of Engineering and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) student chapter at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) invite your students (both female and male) to attend our annual Women Interested in Engineering Day on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009. This one-day conference will introduce students in grades 9-12 to the opportunities available in the engineering and construction management programs offered at Nebraska.
The event is free to attend, and students will need to register in advance by completing the online registration form.

Admissions Requirements for the College of Engineering:
English and Language Arts (4 units)All units must include intensive reading and writing experience
Foreign Language (2 Units)
Of one foreign language
Mathematics (4 Units)
Must include algebra I and II, geometry, and ½ units of pre-calculus and trigonometry
Natural Sciences (3 Units)
Must include chemistry and physics. One of the units must include laboratory instruction. Chemistry is waived for Construction Management students
Social Science (3 Units)
Must include at least one unit of American and/or world history and one additional unit of history, American government and/or geography
For guaranteed admission you must meet the above requirements and have an ACT composite of 24 or higher, or a SAT combined score of 1110 or higher. Interested students who do not meet these requirements should contact the college to discuss the alternatives available for working toward your degree while clearing admission deficiency.
